The first test-and-adjust phase of The Science of Hockey is underway! We opened the exhibition up at about 3 p.m., to let the visitors who were already in our building try it out. Richard Zamboni was visiting at the time, and we were able to grab a quick picture of him standing next to our Zamboni machine replica!

We will close it again soon, and make further adjustments, but it was great to see how people react to the exhibits.

Camille and Jim Gallaway from Pasadena brought their children – Chelsea, 10, and Jordan, 14 – to Discovery Science Center for the first time today. And what a great day to visit! They were some of the first people to try out the exhibition before it opens permanently on April 2.

The Penalty BoxAlso visiting Discovery Science Center for the first time ever were Riley, 5, Cole, 3, and mom Valerie from Upland. They played around on the exhibits, but seemed to like the Penalty Box quite a bit.

This exhibition will be the largest interactive hockey exhibition in the country when it opens April 2. It is presented permanently on our second floor by the Anaheim Ducks, the NHL and USA Hockey. For more information and updates on the exhibit’s progress, keep an eye on our blog and visit our web site: www.discoverycube.org
